St. Marys Ohio history includes Miami and Erie Canal Lock 13N which was originally a wooden lock that was replaced after 1900 with a new construction material called "concrete".

After the demise of the Miami and Erie Canal, an expansion to the two story brick woolen mill was constructed over Canal Lock 13N.

During the 2007-2010 reconstruction, the woolen mill was torn down exposing the original concrete lock.
